The Judge spec retained the 400 ci Ram Air III V8 engine, and this particular 1970 GTO Judge boasts a new 400 ci V8 4-bolt main engine with a .25-inch increased stroke.
Other mechanical upgrades include Edelbrock heads and intake, custom polished valve covers with red-painted Pontiac lettering, MSD ignition wires, and a custom radiator. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox and an upgraded 12-bolt 3.64-geared rear end. It also has power steering and power brakes.
The car belonged to legendary drag racer Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick, a passionate Pontiac fan who started with Oldsmobiles and Dodges but eventually favored Pontiacs.
This beautiful spec’d GTO Judge recently failed to sell at auction, which is unfortunate. However, it might not have sold because of its potential value to the right owner.
