May 2024 marked the debut of Bentley’s latest opulent creation tailored for the elite: the Bentley Batur Convertible, meticulously crafted by Mulliner. Embodying extravagance, this limited edition masterpiece boasts the revered W12 engine in one of its final incarnations, gracing just 18 fortunate individuals with its presence.

Following this grand reveal, Bentley revealed its strategic shift, announcing the impending retirement of the iconic W12 powerplant in favor of an advanced ultra-performance hybrid V8. Building upon this momentum, Bentley introduced the 2025 Continental GT, spied undergoing testing across the United States, showcasing its forthcoming evolution equipped with an Audi-engineered plug-in hybrid V8.

Bentley then teased the fourth-generation 2025 Continental GT with official images of a camouflaged grand tourer coupe. The teaser was accompanied by details about the new V8 PHEV powertrain, boasting 771 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, making it a worthy successor to the W12, which ranged from 650 to 740 hp. The new Continental GT is also expected to offer up to 50 miles of zero-emissions driving.

Amidst the fervor of speculation and the flurry of digital renderings, virtual artist Nikita Chuicko, better known as kelsonik, has presented a design that closely mirrors Bentley’s anticipated subtle yet significant styling updates.

Within the fiercely competitive world of grand tourer automobiles, Bentley’s Continental GT is set to confront Rolls-Royce’s forthcoming Spectre, an all-electric offering albeit less powerful, while the Flying Spur stands ready to challenge the iconic Rolls-Royce Ghost. Meanwhile, the Bentayga finds itself preparing for contention against formidable opponents such as the Lamborghini Urus SE, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and Ferrari, as it seeks to assert its dominance in the luxury SUV segment.
