Turning heads at a recent auction was a vibrantly restored 1971 Dodge Demon 340. Its Plum Crazy paint gleamed under the lights, highlighting the car’s aggressive design.

This wasn’t a pristine factory example but rather a labor of love that melded classic muscle car aesthetics with some unique part choices.

Despite its impressive showing, the Demon remained unsold, with the highest bid reaching $35,000.

This Dodge Dart Demon has undergone a heart transplant. While it originally sported a 340 cubic inch engine, it now packs a rebuilt 360 cubic inch V8 under the hood.

The upgrade includes three two-barrel carburetors for better fuel delivery, an aluminum radiator for improved cooling, and even Mopar valve covers for a touch of brand flair.

While the exact power output remains unknown, the engine sends its grunt to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic transmission.
