A favorite among American drivers for over four decades, the Volkswagen Jetta has carved a niche for itself by offering a compelling sedan option in a hatchback-dominated market.
Debuting in 1980, the Jetta built upon the success of the Golf platform, providing a familiar foundation with a more traditional four-door body style.
The current generation, launched in 2019, recently received an upgrade in 2022 with a more efficient 1.5-liter engine. Following Volkswagen’s usual release cycle, we can expect a completely redesigned Jetta, the eighth generation (A8), to hit showrooms for the 2025 model year.
Though not a complete overhaul, the 2024 Audi A8 promises to enhance the luxury sedan experience. Subtle adjustments to the exterior will bring a refreshed look, while an anticipated bump in standard features might be reflected in the price tag.
The infotainment system is also in line for an upgrade, potentially with variations depending on trim level. Safety leaps forward, too, with the A8 expected to boast new driver-assistance features.
