With a knack for breathing new life into old machines, Earth Motorcycles consistently impresses with their cafe racer builds.
These motorcycles seamlessly blend timeless style with modern capability, and their latest project is no exception.
The starting point this time around was a far cry from the sleek cafe racer aesthetic – a rough-around-the-edges 1989 BMW R80 RT.
The Slovakian team meticulously went about reviving the motorcycle, methodically removing any components deemed superfluous.
Every bulky piece of bodywork, along with the outdated lighting and suspension, found its way off the machine.
The result was a bare frame, a blank canvas upon which Earth Motorcycles could craft a truly unique machine, one that perfectly embodied the client’s vision.
This stripped-down form offered the perfect foundation for the team’s creativity to flow freely. This custom build, based on a BMW R80, exemplifies the Slovakian workshop’s mastery in transforming ordinary motorcycles into extraordinary machines.
The telescopic forks, while retaining their original design, boast a lowered stance thanks to a 50mm reduction in height, lending the bike a more aggressive profile.
A bespoke aluminum top clamp replaces the stock unit, providing a solid foundation for the modern LED headlight and Motogadget gauges.
Clip-on handlebars sporting upgraded levers and switchgear complete the transformed front end, subtly hinting at the performance lurking beneath the blacked-out exterior.
The minimalist approach to bodywork perfectly embodies the cafe racer philosophy, with the iconic R 80 gas tank remaining the centerpiece.
Earth Motorcycles infuses its signature style with a sleek aluminum front fender that flawlessly integrates into the design.
The decision to retain the stock wheels is countered by the choice of vintage-looking tires, maintaining a timeless aesthetic.
To complement the intended riding style, the braking system receives a performance boost with a modern rotor, fresh pads, and high-quality lines, ensuring confident stopping power.
Electrical components are thoroughly modernized with a new wiring harness, Motogadget controller, and a lightweight lithium battery, guaranteeing reliable performance.
