Calling all Indonesian motorcycle enthusiasts with a burning desire to turn heads on the road! Buckle up, because the country’s custom motorcycle scene is a treasure trove waiting to be explored.
Workshops scattered across the lush islands of Indonesia are brimming with talent, ready to take your Kawasaki ER-6N and infuse it with a unique personality that reflects your own.
Indonesia’s massive population of over 280 million fosters a vibrant culture of creativity, and the field of custom bikes is unquestionably where this energy is directed.
From the electrifying streets of Jakarta to the idyllic of Bali, workshops like Batakastem Workshop are at the forefront of this movement.
These skilled builders are more than mechanics; they’re artists who approach the ER-6N platform as a blank canvas.
Their meticulous work and unwavering passion transform these motorcycles into rolling works of art, pushing the boundaries of design and performance to create machines that redefine the very essence of a motorcycle.
This bespoke component, meticulously crafted from scratch, allows for the integration of a new swingarm.
The selected unit, a single-sided marvel from a Ducati 1098, presented a significant challenge during installation. However, the team’s perseverance paid off, resulting in a truly unique aesthetic.
Complementing the revamped rear suspension, an Ohlins shock absorber, boasting adjustability, now takes control of handling. But the modifications extend beyond the back; the front end receives an equally impressive upgrade.
Here, premium upside-down forks, originally gracing a Ducati Multistrada, find a new home on the ER-6N. To ensure their seamless integration, custom CNC-machined triple clamps were fabricated.
Upgrading the motorcycle’s unsprung weight, they’ve grafted on lightweight, forged Y-spoked wheels liberated from the brawnier 1098 model.
These wheels are shod with high-performance Pirelli Diablo Rain tires, a perfect marriage of wet-weather grip and aggressive looks.
Braking performance receives a substantial boost as well, with Brembo calipers taking center stage at both ends.
These are complemented by aftermarket floating discs and a top-shelf master cylinder, ensuring the ER-6N can haul itself down from speed with authority.
But Batakastem’s focus wasn’t solely on stopping power; they’ve also addressed the twin-cylinder heart of the beast. Born from the fusion of digital design and cutting-edge fabrication, this motorcycle stuns with its bespoke form.
A 3D scan of the original bike provided the foundation, upon which entirely new bodywork was meticulously designed using computer-aided design software.
The resulting components were then brought to life in lightweight aluminum. The most eye-catching element is undoubtedly the half-fairing dominating the front profile.
Borrowing inspiration from MotoGP, it incorporates aerodynamic winglets and strategically placed vents to keep the engine running cool.
Nestled within the fairing is a premium aftermarket LED headlight, designed to perfectly complement the lines of the stock instrument cluster.
