The Ford Ranger mid-size pickup truck has a tale of two continents. While European and Australian markets have embraced the vehicle, the US has seen a different story.
In the US, sales peaked in 2005 with over 120,000 units sold and rebounded in 2020 with over 101,000 units.
However, since the introduction of the latest generation in late 2022, sales have plummeted. So far this year, sales barely reached 5,000 units by May.
Conversely, the Ranger is a top seller in Europe and Australia’s number one vehicle, with over 63,000 units sold in Australia last year.
The Ford Australia Ranger Black Edition combines rugged capability with a head-turning blacked-out aesthetic.
This special edition upgrades the base XL with 17-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires for superior grip, functional black side steps for easier cabin access, and a distinctive long black sports bar for additional cargo space.
The menacing look is accentuated by a unique black mesh grille with contrasting grey trim, creating a bold visual statement. While Ford prominently features the Arctic White color option, the availability of other colors remains under wraps.
