Creative director Tim Turbett has always had a knack for customization, tinkering with BMX bikes in his youth before setting his sights on motorcycles. Though his career initially took him down a marketing route, where he excelled as an award-winning designer, his love for customizing bikes eventually won him over, leading to the creation of Zanik Design.

This stunning Ducati Sport 1000 exemplifies Tim’s talents. He began with a pristine 2006 model from Bologna’s SportClassic line, boasting a mere 5,000 miles on the odometer. The engine, running flawlessly, remained untouched.

However, the exterior underwent a stylish transformation. Aftermarket clutch and timing belt covers from Ducabike, SpeedyMoto, and EVR added a touch of exposed machinery, while a high-performance Zard exhaust system replaced the stock pipes, complete with handcrafted heat shields. To optimize fueling, a Rexxer ECU was incorporated.

Gone is the stock headlight, replaced by a cutting-edge Corse Dynamic LED module. This advanced unit sits seamlessly within a bespoke fairing, which further refines the machine’s visual appeal with a smoky windshield and flush-mounted LED turn signals. These streamlined design features contribute to a sharper look and likely improved aerodynamic efficiency. The transformation extends beyond the front fascia, with the cockpit receiving a luxurious makeover.

The stock clip-on handlebars now sport a collection of premium components, including Motogadget grips for enhanced comfort, adjustable control levers for personalized ergonomics, and Rizoma fluid reservoirs that add a touch of Italian flair. Bar-end turn signals and mirrors round out the upgraded cockpit, providing both improved functionality and a sleeker aesthetic.
