The Cupra Leon and Formentor have undergone a significant transformation, debuting in the UK with a refreshed design that exudes a sportier character. Inspired by the bold lines of the Terramar, both models feature striking new front ends, cutting-edge lighting technology, and distinctive Cupra badging.
Inside, the cabins have been elevated with premium materials, advanced connectivity features, and an immersive audio experience courtesy of Sennheiser. The powertrain lineup caters to a diverse range of preferences, encompassing efficient petrol engines and electrified options.
While the Leon offers a more accessible entry point, the Formentor commands a slight premium for its SUV-inspired design. Both vehicles represent a compelling blend of style, performance, and technology, solidifying their positions as dynamic choices in their respective segments.
The Formentor now offers an e-Hybrid powertrain with two output options: 204 ps and 272 ps. Both configurations feature a 1.5L TSI engine, a 19.7 kWh battery, and an electric range exceeding 70 miles. The performance-focused VZ3 grade introduces a new drive mode, Akebono brakes, and torque splitter technology for enhanced track performance.
The Leon also benefits from a variety of powertrains, including a 150 ps 1.5L unit for the Hatch and Estate, a 300 ps 2.0L for the Hatch, and a range-topping 333 ps Estate with torque splitter and Akebono brakes. The top-tier Formentor and Leon models, the VZ First Edition e-Hybrid 272, command starting prices of £51,790 and £45,850 respectively in the UK.
