FCR Original, the French master of motorcycle customization, has a penchant for transforming BMWs, particularly the R nineT platform, into unique masterpieces. Their latest creation is a prime example, starting life as a vanilla 2021 R nineT Urban G/S.
The bike’s rear end underwent a dramatic transformation with a custom looped subframe, a luxurious leather seat, and sleek side panels from FCR’s in-house parts catalog.
The minimalist aesthetic is further enhanced by a discreet LED lighting strip integrated into the subframe and a low-mounted license plate holder.
Surprisingly, the front end remains largely untouched, save for a protective steel grill for the headlight. The FCR squad transformed a BMW R nineT into a scrambler, stripping it down to essentials and outfitting it for adventure.
A new handlebar, chunky Continental TKC 80 knobbies, and a custom stainless steel exhaust system bolstered the bike’s off-road capabilities and aggressive stance. While the boxer-twin engine remained untouched internally, it gained K&N pod filters for improved breathing.
Finned valve covers added a visual touch, complementing the bike’s teal and white paint scheme. The result, dubbed the Nomad, is a stylish and versatile scrambler that effortlessly blends road and off-road prowess.
