While custom motorcycles have long been a playground for creative expression, the electric scooter scene is rapidly gaining traction. A prime example is BMW Motorrad’s CE 02, an unconventional urban mobility vehicle that has captured the imagination of enthusiasts and customizers alike.

This “eParkourer,” with its distinctive design and electric powertrain, offers a unique canvas for personalization. The CE 02’s robust steel frame, paired with telescopic front forks and a single-sided swingarm, provides a solid foundation for modification.

Its electric motor, capable of delivering two power levels, ensures a dynamic riding experience. With a range of up to 56 miles and a charging time of up to five and a half hours, the CE 02 strikes a balance between performance and practicality.

It’s this intriguing blend of form and function that has made it a target for customizers seeking to push the boundaries of electric scooter design. The Oldsmobile Rallye 350 stands as a testament to a brief yet potent chapter in American muscle car history. Positioned between the formidable 442 and the spirited Cutlass W31, the Rallye 350 offered a compelling blend of power and style.

Its 350 cubic-inch V8 engine, capable of generating 310 horsepower, delivered impressive performance while potentially appealing to buyers seeking a more affordable alternative to the larger-displacement models. However, despite its merits, the Rallye 350 failed to resonate with the market, resulting in a production run of just one model year, 1970, and a total output of only 3,547 units.

This rarity, coupled with its distinctive Sebring Yellow paint and aggressive styling, has transformed the Rallye 350 into a highly sought-after collectible for muscle car enthusiasts. Encountering a well-preserved example, such as the one recently discovered in Maine, is a truly exceptional find.

Teenage Engineering, renowned for its quirky gadgets, has lent its touch to the BMW CE 02, transforming the electric scooter into a unique statement piece. Beyond its standard Bluetooth connectivity, the custom model boasts an unexpected FM radio and a disk mode, a nod to retro technology.

Priced at a hefty 549 euros, roughly $600, this one-off creation is a testament to luxury and individuality. A striking departure from the norm, the CE 02 x Vagabund features a faux exhaust pipe, a design choice that not only adds visual flair but also serves a practical purpose as an umbrella holder.

The scooter’s running board, adorned with skateboard grip tape, further amplifies its bold aesthetic. This custom project, a collaborative effort between BMW and Vagabund, showcases the potential for personalization in the electric scooter market.

While details on the project’s value and future remain undisclosed, it undoubtedly leaves a lasting impression. The standard BMW CE 02, available in Cosmic Black, starts at $7,599 and offers a range of features including a Highline package with enhanced connectivity, rapid charging, and heated grips.
