Bugatti has revealed its latest masterpiece, the Tourbillon a limited-edition, V16-powered behemoth that redefines automotive excellence. Priced at a staggering $4.1 million, this two-door marvel is a testament to Bugatti’s iconic design language, seamlessly blending tradition with electrification.
While bidding adieu to the legendary W16, Bugatti introduces a Cosworth-engineered, naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 that screams to 9,000 rpm. Coupled with a Rimac-developed trio of electric motors, this hybrid powerhouse unleashes a staggering 1,775 horsepower, propelling the Tourbillon from 0 to 62 mph in a mind-boggling 2 seconds.
The top speed is an astonishing 277 mph, with a 37-mile electric-only range for serene drives. This hypercar is not just about speed; it’s a statement of unparalleled engineering and luxury. Bugatti’s recent foray into electrification hasn’t quelled speculation about the brand’s future model lineup.
While some reports suggest the Volkswagen-owned hypercar maker could ascend to the pinnacle of luxury SUVs, others firmly believe a four-door model is more in line with Bugatti’s ethos. Taking inspiration from the Tourbillon, designer X-Tomi Design has visualized what such a hyper sedan might look like.
By stretching the Tourbillon’s wheelbase and incorporating a second row of seats behind the iconic cockpit, the digital rendering offers a look into a potential Bugatti sedan.
However, the constraints of accommodating a rear passenger compartment within the Tourbillon’s design language are evident, particularly in the limited rear door openings and potentially cramped legroom.
