Skoda’s long-awaited Octavia vRS finally hits UK shores tomorrow, August 14th, accompanied by its sporty sibling, the SportLine. Priced from £38,670, the vRS boasts a potent 2.0-liter TSI engine delivering 265 horsepower, a significant 20 horsepower bump over its predecessor.
This power channeled through a 7-speed DSG transmission, propels the hatchback from 0 to 62 mph in a swift 6.4 seconds, with the estate closely following at 6.5 seconds.
Beyond its impressive performance, the vRS exudes athleticism with a redesigned exterior featuring aggressive bumpers, striking black accents, and a lower stance.
The interior is a driver’s haven, blending sportiness and sophistication through premium materials, advanced technology, and a meticulously crafted cockpit. Skoda UK has expanded the appeal of its Octavia SportLine with the introduction of a new diesel variant. Joining the existing petrol-powered lineup, the SportLine now offers a 150 PS 2.0-liter TDI engine paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.
This combination delivers a blend of performance and efficiency. The SportLine’s sporty character is accentuated by 18-inch wheels, black exterior accents, and a black headliner. Inside, drivers and passengers are greeted by a sporty ambiance featuring front sports seats and carbon-effect door inserts.
Available in both Hatch and Estate body styles, the Octavia SportLine TDI starts at £35,775 and £36,805 respectively. Petrol-powered SportLine models, equipped with either a 150 PS 1.5 TSI engine or a 150 PS 1.5 TSI e-TEC mild-hybrid, offer starting prices of £32,255 and £34,295 respectively.
