Debuting for the 2025 model year, the Nissan Altima carries over from its 2024 mid-cycle refresh with some notable changes. While not a dramatic overhaul, the biggest news is the disappearance of the turbocharged engine option.

Previously available as a 2.0-liter unit packing 248 horsepower, the Altima now solely relies on a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine generating 188 horsepower. All-wheel drive remains on the table for SV, SR, and SL trims.

Trims levels (S, SV, SR, and SL) see a familiar lineup with the addition of the SV Special Edition for 2025. This variant enhances the standard SV with features like wireless smartphone integration, a larger 12.3-inch display, dual-zone climate control, and a moonroof.

Upscale touches include carbon fiber-style interior trim, a wireless charging pad, illuminated kickplates, sportier 17-inch wheels, and a rear spoiler. Shelling out a bit more will get you behind the wheel of a 2025 Nissan Altima. The base S trim starts at $27,000, a $630 bump compared to the 2024 model.

Price increases trickle up the lineup, with the SV, SR, and SL all starting slightly higher than their predecessors. All-wheel drive remains an option on these trims for an additional $1,500.

Safety comes standard across the board with Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite, featuring automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and highway driving aids.

While the base model offers a no-frills experience, higher trims boast features like leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, and a larger infotainment system.
