The Touring Superleggera Veloce12 is a stunning reimagining of the classic Ferrari 550 Maranello. While the 550 Maranello was discontinued in 2002, the Veloce12 brings it back to life with a modern twist. Featuring a manual transmission, a naturally aspirated V12 engine, and a sleek new design, the Veloce12 is a unique and desirable vehicle.

The Veloce12’s manual transmission provides a driving experience that is distinctly different from modern Ferrari models, which typically feature dual-clutch transmissions. The open-gate shifter adds to the drama and excitement of driving the Veloce12.

The 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine is another standout feature of the Veloce12. It shares the same 65-degree V angle and 75-millimeter stroke as the 348’s free-breathing Dino V8 lump.

Touring Superleggera has upgraded the Veloce12’s engine to produce 503 horsepower, which is a significant improvement over the original 478 horsepower of the 550 Maranello. While it may not be as powerful as modern Ferrari models, the Veloce12’s 503 horsepower is still more than enough to provide exhilarating performance.

The Veloce12 can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 199 miles per hour. The Veloce12 also features several other upgrades, including custom wheels, Brembo high-performance brakes, TracTive suspension with adjustable damping, and a reinforced chassis.

These upgrades improve the Veloce12’s handling, cornering, and stability. The Veloce12’s exterior design is also striking. It features crisper haunches, reprofiled fender vents, LED taillights, and LED headlights. A testament to Touring Superleggera’s craftsmanship, the Veloce12 is a stunningly engineered vehicle.

Based on a familiar platform but boasting a carbon-fiber body that’s slightly larger, the Veloce12 offers a luxurious yet driver-focused interior. High-quality materials, meticulously crafted details, and a deliberate absence of a touchscreen infotainment system create a timeless and immersive driving experience.

While the brown leather upholstery of the demonstrator may not be to everyone’s taste, Touring Superleggera offers virtually unlimited customization options to suit individual preferences.

The Veloce12 is a masterpiece of automotive design and engineering. Its sleek, aerodynamic lines and lightweight carbon-fiber construction make it a visually striking and exhilarating vehicle to drive. The interior is equally impressive, with luxurious materials, comfortable seating, and a focus on driver engagement.

The absence of a touchscreen infotainment system is a refreshing departure from the trend of overly complex and distracting in-car technology. Instead, the Veloce12 prioritizes the pure driving experience, allowing drivers to fully connect with the car and the road.

With a limited production of 30 units and an estimated build time of 5,000 hours per car, the Veloce12 is a truly exclusive and desirable automotive masterpiece. Starting for €690,000 (approximately $761,750) before taxes and without the donor vehicle, prospective owners should anticipate a significant investment of over a million dollars. However, for those seeking a unique automotive experience, the Veloce12 is undoubtedly worth the price.
