The Panache Customs team has been relatively quiet lately, but their latest creation, the Ceiba, is a testament to their unique approach to custom motorcycles. Based on a 1992 BMW R 100 R, the Ceiba is a scrambler-style bike with a distinctive woodland theme.

Founders Charles Murillon and Enzo Benzoni have completely transformed the original bike, starting with a custom-built subframe and a new seat upholstered in brown faux leather. The rear end features a swingarm-mounted fender and an adjustable Wilbers shock absorber.

Up front, the stock fuel tank has been retained but given a dark green finish to complement the aesthetic. The Ceiba’s front fender is a particularly interesting piece, having been designed by hand, rendered in CAD software, and then 3D-printed.

This unique process allowed the Panache team to create a fender that perfectly complements the bike’s style. The electronics have also been overhauled, with a Motogadget controller taking center stage. This controller manages the bike’s various electrical functions and is located beneath the saddle along with much of the other electrical hardware.

The Ceiba is a stunning example of Panache Customs’ ability to transform a classic motorcycle into a truly unique and eye-catching machine. The bike’s combination of classic lines, modern features, and distinctive woodland theme make it a standout custom motorcycles. The R 100 R’s rear end is illuminated by multi-function LEDs mounted on the electronics box.

A modern LED headlight replaces the factory unit up front, and discreet Kellermann turn signals are barely noticeable except when blinking. The cockpit features a digital Motoscope Mini dash from Motogadget, a new handlebar with brown grips, glassless mirrors, stealthy switches, and a Magura master cylinder. The original front brake discs have been replaced with aftermarket parts, and the bike’s ergonomics are enhanced with Rizoma foot pegs.

Panache Customs has meticulously serviced the engine, ensuring its internals are in optimal condition. The Bing carburetors have been upgraded with high-grade pod filters, significantly improving air flow and performance. The exhaust system is a custom-made two-into-one design, terminating in a reverse megaphone muffler from Virex.

This muffler not only enhances the bike’s sound profile but also features an integrated valve mechanism that allows the rider to adjust the volume to their preference. With these modifications, the R 100 R offers a thrilling and personalized riding experience.
