Dustin Kott, a renowned custom bike builder, has gained immense popularity for his exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs. Renowned for his collaborations with prominent figures like Ryan Reynolds and his impressive portfolio of custom bikes, Kott continues to dominate the customization scene.

Among his many remarkable creations, one particular cafe racer stands out as a definitive showcase of his extraordinary abilities. This stunning cafe racer, Frankenstein’s monster, is a masterpiece assembled from various Triumph models.

Kott Motorcycles’ mastermind began this transformation with a parallel-twin engine from a 2006 Speedmaster. To kick things off with a bang, he ingeniously modified the engine to create a ram-air intake system. This ambitious feat required flipping the cylinder heads to position the intake ports at the front.

Air is now drawn in through 36 mm Mikuni carburetors adorned with custom velocity stacks, while combustion by-products are expelled through a handcrafted stainless-steel exhaust. Bill Miko assisted Kott with the engine modifications, while Dustin took the reins for the remaining customization process. Beyond the engine modifications, Kott’s attention to detail is evident throughout the cafe racer.

The chassis, a blend of Triumph parts, has been meticulously reworked to accommodate the new engine and aesthetic. The front end features a custom-built triple clamp and a sleek set of handlebars. The rear end has been shortened and reshaped, resulting in a more aggressive and streamlined silhouette. The bike is finished with a stunning paint job that complements its aggressive stance and powerful presence.

Kott’s cafe racer is a testament to his ability to transform a stock motorcycle into a truly unique and breathtaking machine. The attention to detail, the innovative modifications, and the aesthetic make it a standout example of custom bike building at its finest. Starting with a 2007 Triumph Thruxton frame, the builder started on a radical transformation.

The original subframe was replaced with a custom-fabricated one, designed to accommodate the Speedmaster engine. The swingarm was modified to fit a Yamaha R6 monoshock, providing a sportier and more responsive ride. Upfront, Cognito Moto triple clamps held Honda CBR600F forks, while Excel rims with stainless-steel spokes and Avon Cobra Chrome tires completed the wheel and tire package.

Nissin calipers, twin floating discs, and braided stainless-steel hoses ensured powerful braking performance, even under demanding conditions. A new wiring harness connected the yellow-tinted headlamp and LED taillight, providing improved visibility and a modern aesthetic. To give the bike a unique look, the builder crafted a complete aluminum bodywork package, including a stunning fuel tank with knee indentations and a sleek cafe racer fairing.

A minimalist tail section and a luxurious leather seat completed the rear end, offering a comfortable and stylish seating position. Clip-on handlebars and billet aluminum foot pegs provided an aggressive riding position, ideal for spirited riding. The custom bodywork was finished in a stealthy gloss black with gold pinstriping and Kott tank logos, creating a visually striking and cohesive appearance.

The gold-dyed saddle upholstery added a touch of luxury and complemented the color scheme. The result is a breathtaking cafe racer that blends modern performance with classic style, offering a unique and unforgettable riding experience.
