Volkswagen has updated its Jetta for 2025, but the changes come at a price. The base Jetta S now starts at $21,995, up from $21,435 last year. However, the 2025 Jetta S is now only available with an automatic transmission, whereas the 2024 model offers both manual and automatic options.

As a result, the 2025 Jetta S is cheaper than the 2024 model with an automatic transmission. The Jetta GLI, Volkswagen’s performance-oriented sedan, has also seen a significant price increase for 2025. Starting at $32,715, the GLI is now $4,630 more expensive than last year’s model.

The GLI is still available with a manual transmission, but a dual-clutch automatic is now also available as an option. The dual-clutch automatic offers quicker shifting and better fuel economy than the manual transmission.

The Jetta S remains the most fuel-efficient model in the Jetta lineup, with an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined. However, the Honda Civic Sedan is still more fuel-efficient, offering up to 49 mpg with its hybrid powertrain.

The Jetta, a compact sedan, offers a range of trims with varying levels of performance and features. Powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, the Jetta delivers respectable power and fuel efficiency.

Higher-trim models feature a more powerful 2.0-liter engine and a more advanced suspension system, providing a sportier driving experience. All Jetta models come with a comprehensive warranty and maintenance program, ensuring peace of mind for owners.

The Jetta’s interior is well-appointed, with comfortable seats and ample legroom for both front and rear passengers. The infotainment system is easy to use and features a touchscreen display. The Jetta also offers a variety of safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

The Jetta is a well-rounded compact sedan that offers a good balance of performance, comfort, and value. It is a great choice for drivers who are looking for a reliable and affordable vehicle.
