Nissan’s Ariya NISMO, a high-performance electric crossover, has finally revealed its impressive performance figures. Revealed earlier this year, the NISMO tuned Ariya boasts a powerful electric motor delivering 429 horsepower and 443 lb ft of torque.
This translates to a blistering 0-60 mph acceleration time in the high 4 second range and a remarkable 0-62 mph sprint in just 5 seconds. Beyond its straight-line speed, the Ariya NISMO excels in handling and cornering.
Nissan claims it can achieve greater lateral forces than even the iconic GT-R NISMO, thanks to its specially tuned 4WD system and revised suspension components. The crossover’s enhanced braking system and precise steering further contribute to its dynamic driving experience.
To achieve this level of performance, Nissan engineers have meticulously tuned the Ariya NISMO’s suspension, steering, and braking systems. The revised suspension components, including new stabilizers, spring rates, and shock absorbers, provide a more responsive and engaging ride. The retuned steering system offers increased resistance, allowing for more precise control, while the enhanced braking system delivers powerful stopping power.
In addition to its impressive performance, the Ariya NISMO also features several visual enhancements to distinguish it from the standard Ariya. These include a more aggressive front bumper with larger air intakes, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a roof spoiler. The crossover also rides on unique 19-inch alloy wheels with a black finish.
The Nissan Ariya NISMO, a high-performance electric crossover, boasts a sporty interior that immediately identifies it as a NISMO product. The seats, upholstered in a suede-like fabric, are adorned with NISMO logos, and the digital gauges feature a unique design. Red stitching on the steering wheel and NISMO-red accents throughout the cabin further enhance the sporty appeal.
The Ariya NISMO is expected to hit the European market in January 2025, excluding Cyprus, Malta, and Northern Ireland. It will also be available in its home market of Japan. While the U.S. market remains uncertain, the Ariya NISMO faces stiff competition from other performance-oriented electric crossovers like the Tesla Model Y Performance, Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, Kia EV6 GT, and Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.
The Ariya NISMO’s performance-focused design is complemented by its advanced electric powertrain. Equipped with a powerful electric motor, the Ariya NISMO delivers impressive acceleration and top speed. Additionally, its long-range battery allows for extended driving distances without the need for frequent charging.
With its combination of sporty styling, powerful performance, and advanced electric technology, the Ariya NISMO is poised to make a significant impact in the competitive electric crossover market.
Its availability in Europe and Japan, along with the potential for future expansion to the United States, indicates Nissan’s commitment to offering high-performance electric vehicles to a wide range of consumers.
