A Houstonian with a penchant for performance cars recently acquired a used 2019 Cadillac CTS-V. Not content with its factory tuned capabilities, he sought to raise its power and handling. With a specific goal in mind outperforming his brother’s CT5-V Blackwing he entrusted his vehicle to the experts at Late Model Racecraft.

The CTS-V, already a formidable machine with its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, was a promising foundation for the ambitious project. The tuning firm, renowned for its expertise in high performance Cadillac models, was eager to unleash the vehicle’s full potential.

The owner’s only request was that the car be both fun and easy to drive while surpassing the capabilities of his brother’s Blackwing. With this goal in mind, the technicians at Late Model Racecraft started on a comprehensive tuning process.

The exact details of the modifications remain undisclosed, but the team likely implemented a combination of performance upgrades, including engine tuning, exhaust system modifications, and suspension enhancements. These modifications aim to increase power output, improve throttle response, and enhance handling characteristics.

By the time the CTS-V was returned to its owner, it was undoubtedly a significantly more potent and capable machine. The owner, eager to test the limits of his newly modified vehicle, was likely thrilled to see the results of the tuning process. Mr. Ramiro, a dedicated golfer, recently acquired a 2019 Cadillac CTS-V.

Seeking a vehicle that could effortlessly accommodate family trips and occasional solo drives while delivering exhilarating performance, he turned to the experts at Late Model Racecraft (LMR). The team’s solution was an 850 horsepower package, designed to gradually acclimate Ramiro to the car’s immense power.

With less than 3,000 miles on the odometer, Ramiro’s Cadillac was still relatively new. LMR’s Steven assured him that future upgrades, such as a supercharger swap or ported supercharger, would further enhance the car’s already impressive performance.

To ensure that the car’s aesthetic appeal matched its raw power, LMR maintained a clean and understated engine bay. While the factory 1.7-liter supercharger remained, the team added new cylinder heads, cams, and lifters to boost performance without compromising reliability.

The modified CTS-V could now run on 93 octane fuel or E85 for maximum power. Toyo tires on the rear axle provided enhanced traction, ensuring that the car could handle the increased power output. After tuning the car, Steven described the driving experience as “fun as hell.”

Ramiro, unaware of the specific modifications, was excited to drive his 850-horsepower Cadillac home and potentially outshine his brother’s CT-5 Blackwing. He knew that the car’s newfound power would provide him with an exhilarating driving experience, both on the highway and on the winding roads leading to his favorite golf courses.
