Triumph’s latest additions to the Speed Twin lineup, the Speed Twin 1200 and the Speed Twin 1200 RS are a testament to the brand’s commitment to innovation and performance. These motorcycles offer a harmonious blend of classic styling and modern technology, making them a compelling choice for riders seeking a versatile and exciting machine.
At the heart of both models lies a potent liquid cooled parallel twin SOHC engine, a refined iteration of the Bonneville powerplant. This engine delivers an impressive 104 horsepower, a five-horsepower increase over its predecessor. The torque output remains equally impressive at 112 Nm, ensuring a thrilling ride across a wide range of conditions.
To complement the enhanced performance, Triumph has equipped both bikes with optimized cornering ABS and traction control. These safety features provide riders with confidence and control, even in challenging riding situations. The combination of increased power and advanced safety technology makes the Speed Twin 1200 and 1200 RS ideal for both experienced riders and those seeking to raise their riding experience.
Beyond the performance upgrades, the Speed Twin models also showcase several aesthetic refinements. The side panels have been redesigned for a cleaner, more integrated look, while the engine cases feature a more angular design and a powder coated black finish. The round headlight has been upgraded to LED technology and now incorporates a distinctive daytime running light signature.
The seat has also been revised for improved comfort and ergonomics. The narrower front end makes it easier for riders to get on and off the bike, while the shallower profile provides a more secure and comfortable riding position. These subtle changes contribute to the refinement and appeal of the Speed Twin models.
The Speed Twin 1200 and 1200 RS represent a significant advancement in the Modern Classics segment. With their powerful engines, advanced safety features, and refined styling, these motorcycles offer a compelling combination of performance, comfort, and style. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a newcomer to motorcycling, the Speed Twin lineup has something to offer.
