The custom motorcycle scene has seen a surge in R series BMW-based projects, but this R 100 scrambler from Cafe Racer Dreams (CRD) stands out. Hailing from Spain and celebrating its 121st completed project, CRD has earned a reputation for excellence under the leadership of Pedro Garcia.

Their expertise in classic BMW airheads is evident in this meticulously crafted 1982 R 100, which was transformed into a stunning scrambler in just four weeks. The transformation involved a complete overhaul of the bike’s chassis. The stock subframe was replaced with a custom-built unit, crafted in-house to accommodate the new design.

A generously padded seat, upholstered in black leather, sits atop the subframe, providing both comfort and style. YSS shocks with piggyback reservoirs handle suspension duties at the rear, ensuring a smooth ride even on rough terrain.

The bike’s aesthetic is equally impressive. The factory fuel tank has been retained but repainted in a striking shade of yellow borrowed from the Mercedes-AMG GT R. Black pinstriping and fresh BMW roundels add a touch of classic elegance, while a discreet CRD logo at the rear subtly hints at the bike’s custom heritage.

The Cafe Racer Dreams team has once again outdone themselves with their latest creation, a meticulously restored R 100 scrambler. The bike boasts a sleek black exterior with a retro-inspired headlight, a pair of dual-purpose TKC 80 tires, and a set of crash bars for added protection. Under the hood, the air-cooled boxer engine has been given a thorough overhaul, featuring premium K&N pod filters and a custom exhaust system.

The cockpit area is equipped with a Motogadget Motoscope Tiny Speedo, Renthal handlebars with Domino grips, and adjustable mirrors. The aesthetic is simple yet rugged, perfectly capturing the essence of a classic scrambler. The bike’s handling is sharp and precise, thanks to the original forks and the TKC 80 tires, which provide excellent traction on both road and off-road surfaces.

The engine is smooth and powerful, delivering plenty of torque for effortless cruising or spirited riding. The Cafe Racer Dreams R 100 scrambler is a stunning example of custom motorcycle craftsmanship. It is a bike that is both visually appealing and incredibly fun to ride.
