Stellantis’s North American division is currently grappling with declining sales of its iconic US quartet, including Jeep and Ram. The Hornet, a more affordable alternative to the Alfa Romeo Tonale, has failed to capture the market’s attention, further exacerbating the division’s financial woes.

The discontinuation of the L-bodied Charger and Challenger, while expected, has also contributed to the sales slump. While the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV offers a look into the future of electric performance, its high price point has limited its appeal.

The upcoming 2025 Charger and Challenger models, equipped with the powerful Sixpack 3.0 liter Hurricane inline six twin turbo engine, hold promise for reviving sales, but Stellantis faces significant challenges in the near term. To overcome these hurdles, the automaker must carefully assess its product strategy, invest in innovative technologies, and prioritize customer satisfaction.

While the Dodge Durango reigns supreme as the final SUV boasting a Hemi V8 engine, its hefty price tag weighs it down more than its age. Take the 710 hp Hammerhead edition it outpaces a BMW X7 M60i in cost! But whispers of good news are swirling. Dodge might resurrect the Stealth name, once a badge engineered twin to the Mitsubishi 3000GT sports car.

This revival wouldn’t be a sporty coupe, though. Instead, it would succeed the Durango, fitting into the electric and Hurricane eras. The online car design world buzzed with these rumors, and digital artists are already conjuring visions of the reborn Dodge Stealth as a three-row mid-size crossover. Vince Burlapp, a virtual artist known for dreaming up future models, especially for American brands, couldn’t resist.

He crafted his take on the hypothetical 2026 Dodge Stealth, potentially arriving next year and built in Canada. This shift from Durango’s current Detroit production would utilize the expertise behind the new Charger on the STLA Large platform.
