Jaguar is recalling a small number of 2024 F-Pace vehicles due to a faulty near field sensing module (NFSM). The overheating module can cause the rearview camera image to disappear, potentially violating federal safety standards.
The issue stems from a missing thermal interface material, which can lead to excessive heat buildup and damage to the module. Jaguar has identified the affected vehicles and will be contacting owners by mail. The automaker will replace the faulty modules free of charge at authorized dealerships.
Owners who notice any issues with their rearview camera should contact Jaguar customer service immediately. Jaguar Land Rover’s Solihull plant, where the soon to be discontinued model is produced, also assembles the Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport, and large Range Rover.
Meanwhile, the Defender is made in Slovakia. Owners can check their vehicles’ recall status using the 17-character VIN on Jaguar’s website. Vehicles produced in the UK have VINs starting with SA-SM.
The F-Pace is Jaguar’s last internal combustion vehicle, with production ending in 2025. In the US, customers can choose between the P250, P400, and P575 powertrains. The P250, priced at $57,000, has a 246-hp four-cylinder turbo. The P400 offers a 395 hp twincharged inline-six, while the P575 boasts a 567-hp supercharged V8.
