The world-renowned Salon Rétromobile, a prestigious classic car exhibition held annually in Paris, France, will debut a second edition in North America starting in 2025.
This new event, named Rétromobile USA, will be the first international iteration of the long-running Paris show, which has been hosted at the famous Expo Portes de Versailles since 1976 by global events leader Comexposium.
Salon Rétromobile: One of Europe’s Biggest Classic Car Shows
For nearly 50 years, Salon Rétromobile has stood as a premier celebration of vintage and collectible cars.
The event attracts a vast range of automotive enthusiasts, including major manufacturers, classic car exhibitors, collectors, auction houses, restorers, and automotive professionals.
With over 130,000 attendees across five days, the show highlights key manufacturers, celebrates motorsport achievements, and pays tribute to automotive milestones and innovations. It is regarded as a cultural homage to the heritage and legacy of the automobile.
In a collaborative effort with the duPont REGISTRY Group, Rétromobile USA will replicate the European show’s charm, enriched with an American influence.
This exhibition will display an impressive selection of vintage and rare collector cars, spanning more than a century of automotive history.
It will emphasize the historical and cultural importance of the automobile industry, not only focusing on the beauty of the vehicles but also on the evolution of manufacturing, design, and innovation—and how these factors have shaped global culture.
Transatlantic Enthusiasm for Vintage Cars
“When you witness the passion and excitement that Rétromobile generates in Paris among European car enthusiasts, it’s clear that the same spirit exists in the United States,” said Gérard Neveu, CEO of duPont REGISTRY Events.
“Bringing Rétromobile to America is a natural progression, introducing this fantastic show to the world’s largest market for vintage and collector cars.
Like its Parisian counterpart, Rétromobile USA will cater to exhibitors, collectors, and visitors, celebrating the craftsmanship, history, and design of the automobile.”
Romain Grabowski, Comexposium’s director of Rétromobile Paris, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are delighted to announce this project in the United States, marking a new chapter in Rétromobile’s history, which has been organized by and for enthusiasts since 1976.
“We are confident that the duPont REGISTRY Group is the perfect partner for this venture, with its deep knowledge and extensive reach within the U.S. automotive industry.
We’re excited to tailor the Rétromobile experience for the largest car market in the world and look forward to connecting with our American collector friends, many of whom have been regular visitors to the Paris event.”
The official location and dates for Rétromobile USA will be announced at a later time.
