The Akrapovic Evolution Line titanium exhaust system is a direct bolt on upgrade for the G87-series M2 Coupe, offering a significant improvement in sound and performance. Priced at 6,443.39 euros (approximately 7,110 dollars), this cat-back exhaust system is crafted from titanium and carbon fiber, delivering a lightweight and powerful solution.

With dyno-proven gains of 5.9 horsepower and 13.5 Newton meters, the Akrapovic exhaust provides a noticeable boost in performance while reducing weight by up to 7.3 kilograms. The installation process is relatively straightforward, although it requires some cutting and wiring.

The G87 BMW M2 Coupe offers a plethora of performance-enhancing aftermarket parts, including a Dinan carbon air intake, Scorpion downpipes with sport cats, a Mishimoto intake manifold and intercooler, and Dinan panel air filters. For those seeking more substantial power, TTE 940 hybrid turbos can be added at a significant cost.

However, extracting more performance from this already potent M2 Coupe comes with a price tag. The pre-2025 Euro-spec model boasts 460 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, while the 2025 model has been upgraded to 480 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. Notably, the maximum torque is exclusive to the automatic transmission, with the manual transmission limited to the pre-facelift M2’s 550 Nm.

In Germany, the G87 M2 Coupe commands a premium price of 76,600 euros, compared to the US-market MSRP of $64,900. The G87 M2 CS, slated for production in summer 2025, is expected to feature rear-wheel drive, a torque converter automatic, and a powerful engine.

However, the rumored 523 horsepower output may be optimistic, considering BMW’s decision not to offer this power level in the rear wheel drive Competition. M xDrive is also anticipated to be introduced during the G87’s production cycle, and the model is expected to be discontinued in July 2029.
