Nissan’s long awaited fourth generation Murano has finally arrived, boasting a host of new features and a refreshed design. The Japanese automaker continues its impressive run, offering a diverse lineup that caters to various preferences.
With its stylish appearance, advanced technology, and comfortable interior, the 2025 Murano aims to raise the mid size crossover SUV segment. The new Murano showcases a striking design that echoes the all electric Nissan Ariya, reflecting the brand’s evolving aesthetic.
The interior is equally impressive, featuring a fully digital cockpit with dual 12.3 inch displays, Google built-in, and wireless smartphone connectivity. Luxurious amenities such as ventilated and massaging front seats, 21 inch wheels on the Platinum trim, and 64 color ambient lighting further enhance the driving experience.
With its combination of style, comfort, and technology, the 2025 Nissan Murano is poised to make a significant impact in the mid size crossover SUV market. The 2024 Nissan Murano boasts a comprehensive tech package, including a color HUD, Invisible Hood View, 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, ProPilot Assist 1.1, and a significant upgrade: a nine-speed automatic transmission replacing the previous CVT.
Inside, practicality is enhanced with a 60/40 split flat folding second row and a generous cargo area, measuring 32.9 cubic feet with seats up and 63.5 with them down. A standard power liftgate and a motion activation sensor on the Platinum trim further raise convenience.
Under the hood, the Murano features a 2.0 liter VC Turbo (Variable Compression Turbo) powertrain, delivering 241 hp and 260 lb ft of torque. While reliability concerns have been raised regarding this engine, it offers a slight improvement over its predecessor.
The nine speed automatic transmission seamlessly works with both FWD and Intelligent All Wheel Drive, which is standard in SL and Platinum grades. Enhanced ride and handling are attributed to new frequency-sensitive dampers and electric power steering.
These improvements contribute to a more refined and enjoyable driving experience. Additionally, the Murano’s exterior design has received subtle updates, including a revised grille and headlights, giving it a more modern and sophisticated appearance.
