The BMW Group continues to dominate the automotive world with its diverse range of vehicles, from the iconic BMW brand to the luxurious Rolls-Royce and the stylish MINI. While they may have opted out of the 2024 Paris Motor Show, their recent announcements have kept enthusiasts engaged.
MINI took center stage with the introduction of the 2025 Convertible, featuring a familiar exterior and a completely redesigned interior. The full-blown John Cooper Works (JCW) versions of the Cooper Electric and Aceman EV, boasting 255 hp and a sporty demeanor, further solidified MINI’s position in the electric vehicle market.
Meanwhile, BMW revealed the 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, showcasing a striking new design and a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine. As the European Union debates the 2035 ban on internal combustion engines, BMW CEO Oliver Zipse urged for a reconsideration of this policy.
Rolls-Royce, known for its opulence, introduced the Ghost Series II, featuring subtle enhancements to refresh its mid-cycle design. In addition to the Ghost, BMW is exploring new additions to its lineup, including a unique coupe with a distinctive rear profile. This quirky model, part of the upcoming ‘Neue Klasse’ series, has captured the attention of both automotive enthusiasts and digital artists.
Larson Design, a renowned virtual artist, recently created a digital rendering of this ‘Neue Klasse’ model, envisioning it as part of the ‘X’ series. The ‘Neue Klasse’ models, with their unknown design language, are shrouded in mystery. While the Vision concepts offer a look, it’s unclear where these new models will fit.
Inspired by a spied prototype, these unofficial illustrations depict a compact, two door BMW with a short wheelbase and a high rear end. Although technical details are scarce for this hypothetical design project, BMW has revealed some powertrain options for the ‘Neue Klasse’ lineup.
These include all electric configurations ranging from 200 something hp to over 1,000 hp, rear, and AWD setups, and even potential quad-motor systems powered by the latest BMW eDrive systems and battery packs.
