MINI’s relentless product onslaught continues, with the introduction of the new John Cooper Works 2-Door and JCW Convertible. These two high-performance models cap off a year of significant launches for the British brand, which has seen the introduction of several new models, including the all new 2025 MINI Cooper 2-Door, the next-gen MINI Countryman JCW, the first-ever MINI Aceman electric crossover, and the MINI Cooper Five-Door and Convertible.
While the JCW models are powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine producing 228 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, they unfortunately lack a manual transmission option.
Despite this, the JCW 2-Door can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under six seconds, while the JCW Convertible takes just 6.2 seconds. The MINI John Cooper Works 2-Door and Convertible are high-performance variants that share a spirited driving experience.
However, the 2-Door model offers a slight performance advantage with a top speed of 250 kph (155 mph) compared to the Convertible’s 245 kph (152 mph). Both models feature sportier suspension tuning and distinctive brake calipers with JCW branding.
The 2-Door further distinguishes itself with unique styling elements such as red accents and sleeker taillights. Inside, both models adopt the interior design of the standard Cooper models, enhanced with JCW-specific trim and features.
In the US market, the 2-Door starts at $38,200 and the Convertible at $43,700, with an additional $995 destination charge for both. Deliveries are anticipated to commence in January 2025.
