The release of the 2026 Ferrari F80 has stirred a range of reactions, primarily due to its twin-turbocharged V-6 hybrid engine, which delivers an impressive 1184 horsepower. While this power output is exceptional, the downsizing of the V-12 engine in the LaFerrari has left some Ferrari loyalists feeling underwhelmed.

Despite these mixed sentiments, the F80’s aggressive styling, characterized by sharp angles, deep aerodynamic scoops, and an enormous rear wing, has drawn significant attention. Ferrari’s online configurator offers customers the opportunity to personalize their own F80, although the base price alone is a hefty $3.1 million, with additional options likely pushing it far higher.

Caleb Miller, one of the configurator users, chose an unusual Blu Scozia for his F80’s exterior, drawing inspiration from the 1964 North American Racing Team (N.A.R.T.) livery. He accentuated this dark blue paint with bright Giallo Modena yellow accents on the racing stripes and brake calipers, coordinating with Ferrari’s badges on the body.

Carbon fiber trim highlights the car’s motorsports connection, with this lightweight material incorporated into the front band, rear wing, and wheels. Inside, Miller’s F80 echoes the blue and yellow theme with Alcantara seats in Azzurro Dino and yellow accents, complemented by a black four-point harness bearing the Ferrari logo. He also included practical features like a suspension lift and parking camera, though he passed on the optional passenger display.

In contrast, Jack Fitzgerald maintained Ferrari’s tradition of Rosso Corsa red, firmly believing that this classic color defines Ferrari’s essence. While some might find this choice predictable, Fitzgerald stands by Rosso Corsa, insisting that it’s the “correct” color for any Ferrari. His configuration included matching red brake calipers, carbon rims with silver drums, and carbon center caps. He sought a timeless look inside as well, choosing dark gray Alcantara for the dashboard and adding red Alcantara to the driver’s seat. His vision of the F80 is a nod to Ferrari’s storied past, celebrating its core design principles.

Austin Parsons opted for a less conventional look, blending subtle and bold tones for a more balanced design. He selected Verde Toscana, a muted green, for his F80’s exterior, contrasting it with a bright Giallo Modena racing stripe to hint at the vehicle’s power. Parsons chose black carbon wheels and black calipers to avoid an overly flashy appearance. Inside, he introduced more yellow through Goldrake seats in yellow Alcantara with yellow stitching, carrying this theme through the cabin with extensive Alcantara upholstery on the steering wheel and cockpit. While his vision strayed from typical Ferrari color schemes, it preserved a sense of refinement and functionality.

Through the online configurator, each fan has interpreted the F80 in distinct ways that mirror their individual tastes and priorities. Miller’s design leans into Ferrari’s racing heritage, Fitzgerald adheres to tradition, and Parsons strikes a middle ground with a unique yet subtle blend. All three configurations emphasize the F80’s blend of performance and style, showing the versatility of Ferrari’s latest hypercar. While some may critique its V-6 engine, the car’s aggressive design and powerful performance retain Ferrari’s commitment to pushing the limits of automotive design.
