The 2025 Kia Sportage, recently spied on by our photographers, is set to make its official debut next month. Kia’s local branch has released a teaser video, offering a look of the refreshed model’s exterior design. While marketed as a new generation, the 2025 Sportage is actually a mid-cycle facelift of the current fifth generation model.
The updated Sportage features a revised front fascia with new headlights incorporating distinctive daytime running lights and a tweaked grille. The rear end also receives a refresh, with redesigned taillights and a potentially revised rear bumper.
Additionally, the model is expected to offer new wheel options and a revised color palette. Inside, the cabin is likely to feature updated technology and a refreshed interior layout. The 2025 Kia Sportage is set to receive a significant mid cycle refresh, ushering in a host of visual and technical updates.
The interior will be the focal point of these changes, featuring a new curved display that dominates the dashboard. The two spoke steering wheel, a recent reveal, will further modernize the cabin.
The center console is expected to undergo a redesign, likely incorporating updated switchgear. Kia may also introduce fresh trim and upholstery options to enhance the Sportage’s appeal and differentiate it from the outgoing model.
These updates will extend to both the short wheelbase European version and the long wheelbase models sold in North America, Australia, and South Korea. While the underlying platform and powertrain options will remain largely unchanged, the exterior styling will align with Kia’s latest design language, drawing inspiration from models like the K4 and K8.
Kia is poised to reveal the full details of the facelifted Sportage in November for the Korean market. The European model is anticipated to launch in 2025, followed shortly by the North American variant, which will be positioned as a 2026 model year.
