Brazilian custom motorcycle shop Cramento Motorcycles, founded in 2015 by architect and urban planner Augusto Borghetti Chinelatto, has consistently produced stunning custom builds that have fascinated the South American motorcycle scene.
One such impressive creation is their imposing DR650 scrambler, a testament to their innovative approach to motorcycle customization. Beginning with a 1999 Suzuki DR650, the Cramento team meticulously dismantled the motorcycle, setting the stage for a comprehensive transformation.
To enhance the bike’s handling and aesthetics, they shortened the original forks by 40 mm and installed custom billet aluminum triple clamps, which widened the front end to accommodate the larger wheel and tire combination. The 17-inch aftermarket wheels, adorned with custom wheel covers, were then wrapped in Metzeler Karoo 3 tires, striking a balance between aggressive off-road capability and stylish aesthetics.
This Suzuki DR650 has undergone a dramatic transformation, shedding its original subframe for a sleek, custom-looped unit with integrated taillights. The stock seat is replaced by a slim, handmade saddle, perched atop the new subframe and concealing an electronics box.
A repurposed fuel tank from a 125cc Honda, redesigned for the DR650, sits further forward, boasting a CNC-machined filler cap. The cockpit received an overhaul as well, featuring a new multi function display, low-rise handlebars with compact controls, and bar end turn signals. A high quality LED headlight with a cylindrical housing illuminates the path ahead.
While the engine remains largely untouched, it gains a custom air intake with a mesh velocity stack and a heat wrapped stainless steel exhaust system.
The finishing touch is a stunning paint job in Nardo Grey for the frame and black for most other components, perfectly complementing the DR’s new, aggressive persona.
