2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic James Bond film, Goldfinger. While recent 007 movies have fallen short of expectations, Goldfinger remains a beloved classic. To commemorate this milestone, Aston Martin Lagonda revealed a special edition DB12, but Rolls-Royce Motor Cars truly outshone them with the extraordinary Phantom Goldfinger.

This unique Phantom pays homage to Auric Goldfinger’s 1937 Phantom III Sedanca de Ville, a luxurious vehicle that played a pivotal role in the film. Rolls-Royce meticulously crafted the Phantom Goldfinger, incorporating numerous gold elements as a nod to the villain’s opulent lifestyle and his gold smuggling operation.

The car’s interior boasts an 18-carat gold bar in the center console and Royal Walnut picnic tables adorned with a 22-carat gold inlay depicting a map of Fort Knox. The exterior, finished in a striking two-tone paint scheme of yellow and black, further emphasizes the car’s luxurious and sinister character.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger is a testament to the automaker’s unparalleled attention to detail, paying homage to the iconic villain’s vehicle from the 1964 James Bond film. The car’s Starlight Headliner, a mesmerizing display of 719 stars and eight shooting stars, recreates the night sky over the Swiss mountain pass on the final day of filming the Furka Pass scene.

A bespoke golf club, inspired by Goldfinger’s gold putter, completes the automotive masterpiece. The club’s handle bears the distinctive AG monogram, a subtle nod to the villain’s criminal organization. Even the car’s rear-door umbrellas, adorned with a unique four-color design, echo the accessories seen in the film.

To further emphasize the connection to the iconic film, the Phantom Goldfinger bears the license plate “AU 1,” identical to the villain’s car. This one-of-a-kind masterpiece has recently been delivered to a discerning collector in England.
