Trans Am Worldwide has made waves at the SEMA Show 2024 by revealing the first-ever hardtop version of the 2025 70/SS Chevelle, a modern reinterpretation of the iconic 1970 Chevelle Super Sport. This highly anticipated reboot stays true to its roots while introducing new features and a performance upgrade that will surely excite muscle car enthusiasts.

The stunning Fathom Blue Metallic exterior, complete with Pearl White rally stripes, showcases the dedication to detail that Trans Am Worldwide is known for. The car is finished with six coats of clear, meticulously block-sanded to ensure a flawless, ridge-free paint job that pays homage to the original.

What sets the hardtop 70/SS apart is its innovative design. The hardtop is removable and covers a hidden soft top, giving drivers the best of both worlds: the sleekness and structure of a hardtop with the open-air experience of a convertible at the push of a button. Trans Am Worldwide also plans to offer a garage lift system to store the hardtop, although it’s not yet available for purchase. The hardtop version debuted at SEMA with a body-color match, but an OG vinyl wrap option will be available soon for those who want even more customization.

Inside, the 70/SS Chevelle’s cabin reflects the car’s 1970s origins while blending modern luxury and technology. The two-tone interior features white seats with blue stitching, an upgraded carpet that matches the Fathom Blue paint, and 70/SS badging on the door panels and steering wheel. Even the Rally 70/SS seat belts have been included for an authentic touch. The attention to detail in the interior design makes this Chevelle a special experience for its owner.

Under the hood, the 2025 70/SS is a beast. Built on the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro chassis, it’s equipped with a modified LT1 engine that has been enhanced with a 2650 Magnuson supercharger, upgraded fuel systems, and an aggressive cam package.

The car boasts 800 horsepower at the flywheel, with 720 horsepower at the rear wheels, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The impressive power is balanced with stopping power provided by a Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston rear brake package. The 70/SS’s wide, curvaceous body features an additional six inches over the Camaro, with rear tires measuring 335/30/20 for maximum grip.

Looking ahead, Trans Am Worldwide plans to start full production of the 2025 70/SS in January 2025, refining the body lines and introducing metal bumpers to bring the car even closer to its original Chevelle heritage. With a combination of cutting-edge technology and a timeless design, the 70/SS reboot continues to capture the spirit of the classic Chevelle while embracing modern muscle car performance.
