The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N has recently gained global attention by winning the Best EV Hot Hatch award at the 2024 Electric Awards. This prestigious accolade is a testament to Hyundai’s commitment to delivering a high-performance electric vehicle that combines cutting-edge technology with an exhilarating driving experience.
The IONIQ 5 N is built on the Electrified-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which provides a solid foundation for its advanced features. The vehicle boasts electric motors that spin up to 21,000 RPM, delivering up to 609 PS in normal conditions and 650 PS with the N Grin Boost (NGB) feature engaged.
This allows the IONIQ 5 N to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 161 mph.
Hyundai’s N division has infused the IONIQ 5 N with motorsport bred technologies, including N Pedal for enhanced throttle sensitivity and N Active Sound+ to provide a compelling soundtrack that highlights the EV’s power.
The vehicle also features an Electronic Controlled Suspension that adapts stiffness according to the drive mode, ensuring a smooth and dynamic driving experience.
Despite being available for only a few months, the IONIQ 5 N has already collected several prestigious accolades, including being crowned World Performance Car in the World Car Awards and recording the fastest electric SUV lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
