The Model 48 was introduced in 1935 to build on the success of the 1934 model. It was available in 10 different body styles, offering a variety of choices for buyers.

In 1936, the design received a refresh, featuring a new front grille and slightly altered side panels. The V8 version of the Model 48 was known as the Deluxe Model 68. Among the various body styles, the Convertible Sedan, like the one featured here, was particularly popular and remains a rarer sight today.

This car boasts an all-original steel body that looks fantastic. It is finished in Washington Blue, which shines beautifully, and is complemented by a custom removable canvas top in Dark Blue.

The car retains its original chrome bumpers and has cleanly mounted trim, adding to its polished appearance.

Another key update in 1936 was the introduction of “artillery” wheels, which replaced the wire wheels of earlier models.

These wheels offer a unique look, powder-coated in beige with chrome center caps and paired with wide white wall tires. The rear of the car features a matching spare tire, housed in its original cover.

Lift the four-piece steel hood from either side to reveal the 283 ci V8 engine, which has been bored out to 292 ci. It runs smoothly and is perfect for car show enthusiasts.

The engine is equipped with a new Edelbrock carburetor, custom polished valve covers, a polished intake, and a finned air cleaner.
