Bugatti is honoring its legendary Chiron with a bespoke one-off creation before introducing its next-generation hypercar. Based on the Chiron Super Sport, this unique model celebrates the brand’s illustrious motorsport history while showcasing its craftsmanship and innovation. With only 500 Chirons produced, this special edition emphasizes the car’s legacy as a modern automotive icon.

Inspired by the Legendary 1931 Type 50S Race Car

Named “Hommage T50S,” this Chiron pays tribute to the 1931 Type 50S, a pioneering race car that competed at Le Mans. The design incorporates features like the grid-pattern horseshoe grille, a hand-painted “5” racing number, and Le Mans 1931 graphics near the rear wheels. The Circuit de la Sarthe layout on the active rear spoiler further connects the car to Bugatti’s historic racing success.

The quad-turbo 8.0-liter engine cover includes circular patterns and a “Perlée” finish, echoing the Type 50S. The black-on-black color scheme, requested by an anonymous buyer (likely U.S.-based due to orange side markers), highlights understated elegance. These carefully crafted elements demonstrate Bugatti’s ability to merge modern performance with historical inspiration.

A Cabin Designed to Honor Racing History and Elegance

Inside, the homage continues with intricate details like hand-applied representations of the 1931 racer on the door cards. “Le Mans 1931” is stitched into the headrests, while the center console features the Circuit de la Sarthe layout. Additional bespoke features include unique storage areas and knee protectors. The optional Sky View glass roof enhances the sense of space and refinement within the cabin.

Bugatti has not disclosed the price of this one-off Chiron, though the base Super Sport starts at $3.8 million. This custom creation is a testament to Bugatti’s artistry and engineering, making it a fitting celebration of the Chiron’s extraordinary legacy.
