Kia UK has confirmed that the EV4 and PV5 Passenger have become the brand’s first models to qualify for the Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG), allowing eligible versions to benefit from a £1,500 reduction on the on-the-road price.

With the Electric Car Grant applied, Kia says the EV4 Air now starts at £33,245, while the PV5 Passenger five-seat people carrier has a new entry price of £31,495.

The £1,500 discount applies across the entire EV4 Air range, as well as the PV5 Passenger in both Essential and Plus trims. Importantly, eligibility extends to both available battery options for each model.

Kia says the grant-backed pricing is designed to lower the barrier to entry for customers considering the switch to battery electric vehicles. Buyers are also supported by Kia’s seven-year/100,000-mile warranty, alongside eight years of coverage for the high-voltage battery.

This milestone demonstrates our commitment to making electric mobility accessible, practical, and affordable. This eligibility comes at an important time, as our nationwide network of PBV Centres become operational, delivering the new award-winning PV5 to customers.

Alongside the grant news, Kia has introduced its latest quarterly incentives, which include finance deposit contributions (FDC) across much of its electric vehicle range.

Under the updated offers, the EV4 GT-Line and GT-Line S both receive a £3,000 finance deposit contribution. The EV4 Air benefits from an additional £1,000 FDC on top of the £1,500 Electric Car Grant. All EV3 variants are also available with a £3,000 FDC.

Other models included in Kia’s incentive programme are the EV4 Fastback, EV5, EV6 (including GT), and EV9 (including GT), each of which comes with a £1,500 finance deposit contribution.

Looking further ahead, Kia reiterated its broader electrification strategy, stating that it plans to launch 15 electric vehicle models and 10 hybrid electric vehicle models by 2030.
