Jensen International Automotive is gearing up to launch an all-new ultra-high-performance luxury GT later this year, bringing a modern interpretation of the iconic Jensen Interceptor to life with a completely fresh design.
Based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, the engineering firm confirmed that the new model will combine a contemporary body with an aluminium chassis and a powerful V8 engine, offering a modernized take on the classic British grand tourer.
While Jensen International Automotive has built its reputation on restoring and re-engineering classic Jensen Interceptors, including bespoke Interceptor R models, the forthcoming car represents a wholly new venture, separate from the company’s previous projects.
The automaker is positioning the model as a “fully analogue” driving experience, aimed at enthusiasts seeking maximum engagement behind the wheel.

The company also announced that the car will be hand-built in the UK in extremely limited numbers and will be sold domestically. To support the program, Jensen is creating a dedicated division focused exclusively on the rapid development of the new GT.
“Taking the theme of the luxury British GT to fresh, thoroughly modern heights, JIA’s first car is designed and engineered from the ground up to deliver an unmatched, deeply immersive, V8-powered driving experience,” said David Duerden, managing director at Jensen International Automotive.
“While it takes inspiration from the Jensen Interceptor launched 60 years ago, this is certainly no ‘restomod’ or ‘continuation’ and will stand proudly as a completely all-new car in its own right.”
Additional details regarding specifications, pricing, and production volumes are expected to be released later this year.
