Mercedes-Benz has revealed the interior of its upcoming electric C-Class, offering an early look at how one of its core models is being reimagined for the EV era. The design reflects a clear shift toward a more digital, immersive cabin while maintaining the brand’s focus on comfort and refinement.
The most prominent change is the screen-focused layout. A large, wide display setup spans the dashboard as standard, while higher trims introduce the optional MBUX Hyperscreen.
This system extends across the entire width of the cabin, integrating the instrument cluster, infotainment, and passenger display into a single continuous surface. The interface is designed to be highly customizable, with multiple themes and ambient lighting configurations that extend throughout the interior.
Lighting plays a central role in shaping the cabin’s atmosphere. Ambient elements run across the dashboard and doors, and an optional panoramic roof system incorporates star-like lighting points to create a distinctive visual effect, particularly at night.
Material options reflect a dual approach. Buyers can choose traditional premium finishes such as wood and Nappa leather, or opt for a fully vegan interior. This combination allows Mercedes to cater to both conventional luxury expectations and increasing demand for sustainable materials.
Comfort remains a priority, supported by advanced seat technology. The seats feature electro-pneumatic lumbar support along with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Mercedes also includes its Energizing Comfort system, which coordinates lighting, sound, and seat settings to enhance in-cabin experience during longer drives.
A new climate system built around a heat pump improves efficiency while delivering faster cabin heating. Alongside enhanced insulation, this contributes to a quieter and more controlled interior environment compared to traditional combustion models.
The transition to an electric platform also improves cabin space. With a flat floor and optimized layout, the electric C-Class offers a more open and spacious interior, particularly for rear passengers.
