The result also comes during a year when new-vehicle quality improved sharply. Industry problems fell from 192 PP100 in 2025 to 175 PP100 in 2026, according to J.D. Power, marking the greatest year-over-year improvement since 1997.
Yet infotainment was the only category to deteriorate, with smartphone connectivity issues involving Apple CarPlay and Android Auto contributing significantly to the increase.
2. BMW 2 Series
