The 2025 Acura MDX has received a subtle update, with pricing details now revealed for the complete range. Although most trim levels experience a slight price increase, ranging from $750 to $2355 compared to the previous model year, the high-performance MDX Type S sees a notable uptick, now commencing at $76,300.
The 2025 MDX features a refreshed front fascia, an open-frame Diamond Pentagon grille with a redesigned diamond pattern, and Acura’s signature JewelEye LED headlights with “Chicane” LED daytime running lights. For a sportier appearance, the MDX A-Spec offers an aggressive front fascia similar to the MDX Type S, a frameless Diamond Pentagon grille, blacked-out exterior accents, A-Spec badges, and new 20-inch wheels.
The MDX Type S boasts a new frameless Diamond Pentagon grille with redesigned open-surface mesh, Berlina Black 21-inch split-spoke wheels, an exclusive rear diffuser, quad exhaust outlets, and red Brembo 4-piston front brake calipers. Two new paint colors, Canyon River Blue Metallic and Urban Gray Pearl, add to the MDX’s refreshed look.
Inside, the MDX now features a 12.3-inch touchscreen interface with Google built-in, alongside wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. The center console has been redesigned for increased storage and improved access to the wireless charging pad. The cabin experience is increased further by a quieter interior with reduced road and wind noise, thanks to upgraded fender liners, additional door insulators, and laminated rear door glass.
Acura has partnered with Bang & Olufsen to offer two bespoke audio systems for the 2025 MDX. The MDX with Technology Package, Advance Package, and A-Spec models include a 19-speaker, 1,475-watt system with 16 channels and Acoustic Lens Tweeters. The MDX Type S with Advance Package debuts Acura’s most impressive audio system yet, featuring 31 speakers, 1,760 watts, 24 channels, and 12 speakers in the headliner.
Both systems incorporate Bang & Olufsen’s 3D Sound Control and Beosonic™ feature, with brushed aluminum speaker grilles laser-etched with the Bang & Olufsen logos. The high-performance MDX Type S with Advance Package introduces the new AcuraWatch™ 360 system, offering advanced driver-assistive capabilities with additional front corner radars, a higher-fidelity front camera, and new front millimeter wave radar.
New features include Active Lane Change Assist, Lane Change Collision Mitigation, and Front Cross Traffic Warning. The standard AcuraWatch™ suite on other MDX grades also receives updated hardware for enhanced performance, including an increased range for the blind spot information system and Lane Change Alert.
The MDX Type S is now equipped with the previously optional Advance Package as standard, enhancing this high-performance variant with premium features such as a Head-Up Display, 16-way power front seats, soft-touch Milano leather, 9-way massaging front seats, second-row heated seats, heated steering wheel, and a Surround View Camera.
The 2025 MDX lineup includes the new MDX A-Spec with Advance Package, which combines sporty aesthetics with premium features like 16-way power seats, heated second-row seats, a Head-Up Display, and a Surround View Camera system. The MDX with Advance Package and MDX A-Spec with Advance Package also features curvilinear-quilted leather and massaging front seats, previously exclusive to the MDX Type S.
