Audi has just launched its fastest and most powerful wagon yet – the 2025 Audi RS 6 Avant GT. This special edition model honors the iconic Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO race car from the 1980s, a legend in the racing world.
With only 85 cars available in the United States and 660 worldwide, this exclusive release is expected to become a collector’s dream.
The RS 6 Avant GT stands out with its unique features. It sports an eye-catching Arkona White paint job with red, gray, and black racing livery reminiscent of the original Audi 90 race car.
The wagon also features a lightweight carbon fiber hood and fenders, which improve both weight and aerodynamics.
Additional aerodynamic upgrades include a new front splitter, side sills, a rear diffuser, and a motorsport-inspired rear spoiler.
Inside, the racing theme continues with high-quality Valcona leather RS sport seats, offering both comfort and support. Each car is also fitted with a serialized badge on the center console to mark its limited-edition status.
Under the hood, the RS 6 Avant GT boasts a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine that delivers 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque.
This power, paired with an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 mph.
Audi’s signature Quattro all-wheel-drive system, enhanced with a sport-tuned rear differential, ensures excellent handling, while carbon ceramic brakes provide outstanding stopping power.
With a price tag of $198,900, the Audi RS 6 Avant GT is one of the most expensive wagons on the market. It will compete against high-performance rivals like the BMW M5 Touring, Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon, and Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive.
However, the Audi RS 6 Avant GT’s exclusivity sets it apart, making it a highly desirable addition to the superwagon market.
This limited-edition model not only pays tribute to a motorsport legend but also gives car enthusiasts another high-performance wagon to admire.
