Developing and certifying impressive eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) concepts is just the beginning of realizing the vision of electric air taxi rides as a commonplace mode of transportation.

Essential supporting systems, such as newly developed air traffic management (ATM) software, are critical for advancing operations in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). Eve Air Mobility stands out as one of the few eVTOL manufacturers globally to have developed a cutting-edge Urban-ATM tool, alongside its flagship aircraft.

Recently revealed at the Airspace World event in Geneva, this tool, named Vector, represents a significant milestone in the integration of eVTOL flights into existing commercial aviation infrastructure.

Vector, an agnostic software solution tailored for managing the unique operational challenges of electric air taxis, underscores the importance of dedicated infrastructure and operational systems for the seamless integration of eVTOLs into urban airspace.

Following an extensive testing phase conducted primarily in the UK through a partnership with Flexjet, Vector has demonstrated its capability to enable integrated eVTOL operations in low-level urban airspaces from inception.

This achievement positions Eve at the forefront of innovation in the AAM sector, paving the way for safe and efficient commercial air taxi flights. With 14 customers already committed to Vector, including vertiport operators and fleet managers, Eve anticipates finalizing the operational version of the software by the end of the year.

This milestone will mark Vector’s official readiness to support commercial air taxi flights at vertiports or airports worldwide. Among Eve’s recent software customers is SkyScape, a Japanese vertiport developer, proposing a modular approach to eVTOL infrastructure.

SkyScape’s innovative vertiports aim to integrate air taxi operations, medical deliveries, and first response operations under a unified platform, showcasing the versatility and potential of AAM technology.

Eve’s commitment to advancing Urban-ATM technology, alongside its pioneering electric aircraft, reflects its dedication to shaping the future of urban mobility and revolutionizing air travel on a global scale.
