New Pacific Airlines, previously focused on domestic routes, appears to be shifting towards charter operations following challenges in penetrating the Southern California travel market from Ontario International Airport (ONT). The airline has recently entered a lucrative agreement with Raise Aviation Group, Florida, known for its clientele in sports, concerts, government, and presidential campaigns.

Raise Aviation Group’s partnership is expected to bring increased business opportunities for New Pacific. Currently, the airline operates only one domestic service, connecting Ontario to Nashville, after discontinuing its direct flights to Las Vegas due to persistent ground delays.

Robert McKinney, CEO of New Pacific Airlines, emphasized the need for agility in their operations to ensure profitability and growth. He stated, “To maximize profitability and continue to expand, we’ll likely focus more on charter operations than scheduled flights.”

Despite its challenges in the domestic market, New Pacific Airlines remains ambitious in its growth plans. Operating a fleet of Boeing 757-200 aircraft, the airline aims to acquire more aircraft soon and has expressed interest in the A321XLR for its long-term capabilities.

While New Pacific Airlines faces obstacles in establishing its presence in the Southern California market, its focus on charter operations signifies a strategic pivot to capitalize on lucrative opportunities in private jet travel.
