Honda has announced that the 2024 CBR600RR for the US market will essentially be a carryover from the previous year, which itself was a continuation of the updates introduced back in 2013. Priced at $12,199, the 2024 version sees a modest $100 increase over the 2023 MSRP.
The European variant of the CBR600RR, on the other hand, builds upon revisions Honda made to the platform a few years ago, notably with a 2020 update released in Japan. While these enhancements are anticipated to eventually reach the US market, they will require more time.
Nevertheless, the 599cc supersport from Honda remains an attractive option for American riders, offering a blend of comfort, road usability, finely-tuned braking, and dependable suspension.
While the additional horsepower and updated chassis of the overseas model would be desirable, for now, American riders will continue to appreciate the platform’s overall performance.
Despite certain drawbacks, particularly in the electronics department, the CBR600RR has proven its value, especially for road riders seeking a bike that excels both on urban streets and the track. For those interested in ABS-equipped models, the price rises to $13,199. Both versions will be available in Grand Prix Red for US customers.
