In the realm of custom bike craftsmanship, Kaffeemaschine, based in Hamburg, Germany, and helmed by Axel Budde, stands as a paragon of elegance and meticulously designed motorcycles.
Axel Budde, deeply acquainted with classic Moto Guzzi models, embarked on his 22nd project with Kaffeemaschine, a personal endeavor showcasing his signature style.
This exceptional cafe racer project commenced without a specific donor bike in mind but rather as a collection of components meticulously assembled to create a bespoke machine.
Utilizing the frame of a 1974 Moto Guzzi 850T as the foundation, Axel meticulously integrated enhancements, including a crankcase breather module and a transplanted Le Mans IV V-twin powerplant.
With meticulous attention to detail, the engine underwent significant modifications, resulting in a displacement increase to 1,100cc and a substantial power boost to 97 horsepower at the wheel.
Complementing the enhanced powertrain, the bike received structural upgrades, incorporating BMW triple clamps, Yamaha R6 forks, Wilbers shock absorbers, and bespoke alloy wheels sourced from a Le Mans V.
The exterior exudes sophistication with handcrafted carbon fiber bodywork, featuring a distinctive fuel tank, CFRP tail section, and a stylish bikini fairing reminiscent of a Le Mans I. Further enhancing the riding experience, the cockpit boasts modern amenities such as clip-on handlebars, Kellermann bar-end blinkers, and a redesigned instrument cluster.
Electrical upgrades, including a lithium-ion battery and a modern ignition system, ensure optimal performance and reliability. Finished in a striking Lava Orange paint scheme inspired by Porsche, this custom masterpiece embodies both aesthetic allure and mechanical prowess.
