Rob Chappell’s artistic inclinations emerged alongside his early fascination with motorcycles. From tinkering in his youth to honing his skills in welding and fabrication during high school, Rob’s passion for two-wheelers remained steadfast. Despite pursuing a career in graphic design, his affinity for motorcycle customization persisted, eventually leading to the establishment of Origin8or a haven for bespoke creations.
Origin8or’s latest endeavor revolves around a 2008 Ducati Monster S2R 1000, commissioned by a client across the border. Starting on a restoration journey, Rob tackled the bike’s myriad issues, from dysfunctional forks to a chaotic wiring harness, with characteristic determination.
The centerpiece of the project was the integration of a BMW K 100 fuel tank into the S2R, requiring innovative solutions to seamlessly meld the two. A custom subframe, cafe racer tail unit, and meticulously crafted solo seat transformed the bike’s silhouette, while a Nardo Grey finish added a modern touch.
Technical enhancements, including K-Tech suspension upgrades and performance-oriented braking systems, increased the Monster’s capabilities. A comprehensive engine refurbishment, coupled with a bespoke exhaust system, ensured peak performance and a distinct auditory profile.
Rob’s meticulous craftsmanship extended to every facet of the build, resulting in a masterpiece that exceeded expectations. From the sleek lines of the bodywork to the precision-engineered components, Origin8or’s Ducati Monster S2R 1000 exemplifies Rob’s unwavering commitment to excellence.
