CARSON BROWNS TWISTED DEVELOPMENT RM300 RACE BIKE: 2-STROKE TUESDAY

This week’s 2-Stroke Tuesday featured Carson Brown’s Twisted Development custom Suzuki RM300cc race bike, a standout at the 2-Stroke World Championship. Viewers were encouraged to watch the complete live race coverage on YouTube or in the provided post.

Surprisingly, Brown’s build closely resembles a stock RMZ250 four-stroke, with the entire chassis remaining OEM Suzuki apart from engine mount modifications. Suzuki’s frame update facilitated easier accommodation of a two-stroke exhaust, enhancing the bike’s versatility.

Brown praised the RM300 as one of the best two-strokes he’s ridden, citing its exceptional overall performance.

Despite its appeal, the custom one-off exhaust system is not available for purchase, with Pro Circuit currently having no plans for public release. However, future developments are possible.

Custom engine mounts were essential in placing the new 300cc KTM engine correctly within the chassis, showcasing meticulous attention to detail in the build process.

Additionally, enhancements included a gripper seat cover by Guts Racing, chrome-finished Backyard Design custom graphics, and Dunlop MX34 tires mounted on stock Suzuki RMZ wheels, enhancing both aesthetics and performance.

The integration of the KTM 300cc engine into the RMZ250 four-stroke chassis required minimal frame modification, underscoring the engineering finesse of the build.

An extreme close-up of the Keihin carb showcased the precision tuning of the Twisted Development-tuned KTM 300 engine, further highlighting the attention to detail and performance focus of the build.
