Indonesia’s motorcycle scene thrives on the innovation and craftsmanship of workshops like the Batakastem Workshop in Jakarta.
Led by the visionary Abraham Simatupang, the Batakastem crew isn’t afraid to experiment with different styles, consistently pushing the boundaries of what a custom motorcycle can be. Their latest creation perfectly exemplifies this approach.
It’s a head-turning Yamaha XS650 bobber that defies expectations. While it retains the classic bobber look, it also incorporates a surprising design element a cartoonish flair that makes this bike a true standout.
This motorcycle has undergone a dramatic transformation, with nearly every component receiving a touch of customization. The stock parts have been replaced with gleaming chrome, from the wheels right up to the headlight.
Lacing the chrome rims are stainless-steel spokes, supporting a unique combination of wheels: a large 21-inch wheel in front for rough terrain, and a smaller, 16-inch wheel at the back for a more classic look. Both wheels are wrapped in Avon tires that complement the bike’s retro vibe.
